Amethyst: In ancient times, the Greeks used to think that amethyst would protect those who wore it from becoming drunk. The name Amethyst is derived from the Greek amethystos which when translated is “not drunken”. Amethyst has also been used to encourage celibacy, erase evil thoughts and keep one grounded.
Aquamarine: Legend has it that aquamarine came from the treasure chests of mermaids, and because of this, became the lucky stone of sailors. Aquamarine is derived from the Latin words for aqua (water) and mare (sea). It is said to relieve one of seasickness, nerve pain and toothaches. It is also said to give the wearer feelings of harmony, friendship and trust.
Citrine: Citrine is believed to be especially powerful for stimulating one's mental capacities, thereby enhancing creativity and bolstering self-confidence. It is said that wearing citrine will improve memory, make you feel more optimistic, and give you more energy in everything you do. Kyanite: Derived from Greek word kyanos, which means 'blue'. Prominently, kyanite is found in shades of blues & greens. Kyanite enhances psychic imagery, foresight, consciousness, and communication.
